adding 2D people in to scene via photoshop rather than sketchup
section of installations and insertions
this is my plan for vis rep.  gestures of screening, extensions, the mysterious and bizarre.

so here you can see how the screens extend out into the surrounding landscape. THey serve to limit visitors views of the scene and the models, and also to draw the boundary between the two sides. Because the visitors are encouraged to view the scene from all angles, there are gaps in the screens large enough for people to go through, but they are placed well away from the scene so visitors don't disrupt it and it is clear they cant go in.

a snow maker similar to this one will be on the roof of the house.
this is kind of the scene I want to create, but not so romantic.

behind the screens you can see two rooms. They were bedrooms now they serve as the changing rooms, but are still very much part of the performance. The models will still be in character. (which will be a freaky, alien expression style that no one will relate to), Any way, the two rooms are filled with snow, The models will have to maneuver around and over it. It will be wet, cold and uncomfortable, but exciting and different.
the patio is now a snowy wonderland in the middle of the house, in the middle of the desert. Thanx to sketch up 3D warehouse.
ok so this is getting to the final stages of my model insertions and installations. I have imported a snowy terrain which I have laid on the grass and patio area. The screens, which are all the same size, run along the living room glass wall. The models walk in between the screens and the glass.

the fog is awesome. This is exactly how it should be. No sunshine, no clarity, no vision, long distance anyway.  Caught up in a dreamworld here and now. No looking away to the past of future.
this is how the scene is set for the show. It will be held at dark. Lighting will be positioned so beams of light shine into the zone from outside of it.  An emphasis on positive and negative, white and black, light and dark, real and surreal.
inserting the over-bridge into the patio area. The over-bridge has two purposes-
- to create a continuous uninterrupted loop for models to walk on, and
-to frame the entrance to the surreal, fantasy zone of the show.
the only way for visitors to really get into the centre of the performance is to go through here,

Changin textures of louvres, adding glass plaes over water features, creating the overbridge
this is the first texture to be added to the model- a greyscale wallpaper of ribbon and lace texture.  Over the top fashion.
